It therefore draws a significant amount of current from the generator or shore power supply (almost 10 A per 5 kVA Multi at 230 VAC). With the (optional) Multi Control remote panel, the maximum grid or generator current to be drawn can be set simply by a rotary knob. The MultiPlus then takes into account other connected AC loads and uses only the remaining current for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection (e.g., the power connection at a parking space or boat pier) from being overloaded.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\n\u003cstrong\u003ePowerAssist – Increasing the capacity of generators and shore power support\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis function gives the PowerControl principle a new dimension. It allows the MultiPlus to support undersized alternative sources. Load peaks often occur only for a limited period. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore or generator power is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery.
