Victron Cyrix-i 400A 12V/24V Battery Combiner

Some battery isolation relays trigger disconnections during brief periods of high current. It can also happen that when a larger but discharged battery bank is connected, the isolation relay disconnects the connection due to the sudden voltage drop that occurs.

The software embedded in the Cyrix-i 12/24-400 allows for more than simple switching on and off based on voltage and fixed time delays. Rather, the Cyrix-i takes into account the trend (voltage/time curves) of previous charging/discharging processes and only intervenes if the trend changes over a certain time interval. The time delay is proportional to the voltage deviation from the trend curve.
