D+ Simulator 12V / D+ Signal

If auxiliary loads are only to be switched on when the engine is running (the alternator supplies power), or if the leisure battery is to be charged by connecting the leisure and starter batteries via a D+ controlled isolating relay, then the D+ contact of the alternator is usually used to control a relay.

However, this contact is often inaccessible in the vehicle, no longer present in newer alternators, unavailable in a container body, or a voltage-dependent control is generally desired. This is where the D+ simulator provides a solution. It generates a corresponding signal for a subsequent powerful (isolating) relay, controlled by voltage (e.g., from the starter battery).
Further applications include the control of auxiliary loads that should only be activated when the battery is sufficiently charged, such as switching on an air conditioner while driving or switching a refrigerator, a cold or hot box to 12 V on-board operation.

Intelligent voltage evaluation of the switching thresholds prevents incorrect activation during voltage drops or spikes. The dynamic threshold detection also prevents oscillation around the switching points when switching very large loads. The switching status is indicated by an LED.
The electronics are protected against moisture, and the connection is made in the rear terminal compartment by a plug-in screw terminal. The switching output can handle 12V / 0.5A, is short-circuit and overload protected, and is of the PNP type, plus output, load on the ground side.

ATTENTION: This device is not suitable for vehicles according to Euro standard 6 and 6+!
