Victron Battery Deep Discharge Protection BatteryProtect 100A / 48V Battery Systems

Protect your battery from deep discharge! Never operate 48V consumers directly from the battery; always use an intermediate deep discharge protection device! The only exceptions are devices with their own integrated deep discharge protection.

The new Battery Protect BP100 is an intelligent, completely waterproof battery guard with expansion options such as an on/off switch, alarm buzzer, or control for a relay. The battery deep discharge protection disconnects DC consumers from the battery before the battery is deeply discharged or the charge level — which is necessary for engine starting — falls below the required threshold. The maximum current that can be drawn via this deep discharge protection is 100A (approx. 1200 watts in a 12V system and 2400 watts in a 24V system).

A selection of ten on/off threshold voltage programs for both 12V and 24V — which can be easily programmed — allows the battery deep discharge protection to be set for the respective application. The BatteryProtect's own power consumption is minimal. In OFF mode or with undervoltage, the consumption is 0.6mA; in operation, it is approx. 1.5mA!
