LED Remote Control S for VCC V2 Series Charge Boosters

The remote control with LED indicators allows convenient remote control of VOTRONIC devices, e.g., charge converters, when they are mounted in an inaccessible location. Intended for charge converters / charge boosters of the VCC1212-30 ... VCC1212-90 series from model year 2018, which are equipped with the 6-pin connector socket labeled Display.

The device seamlessly integrates into the VOTRONIC module system in terms of dimensions. This includes tank display units (fresh and waste water and sewage), the LCD series (battery computers, voltmeters, and thermometers), as well as switch and fuse panels.

LED indicators and function:
Note: The list represents most functions, but there may be deviations for individual device types.

Batt. Full (Battery(ies) fully charged):

Lit: Battery 100% charged, float charge U2, finished.
Flashing: Main charging process operates in the U1 charging phase, charge level indication increasing from 75% (lead), approx. 90% (LiFePO4) (short flashing) gradually to 100% (long flashing).
Off: Main charging process is still operating in the I-phase.
Main (Main battery charge):

Lit: Main charging process operates in the I or U1 charging phase.
Off: Float charge U2, finished.
Flashing: 1. Battery temperature sensor is not connected for LiFePO4 charging program! 2. External battery overvoltage, automatic reset when voltage drops to normal.
Current (Charging current):

Lights up brighter or dimmer depending on the charging current output.
Batt. I (ONBOARD battery):

Lit: The onboard battery is monitored and charged during operation.
Extinguishes briefly every 2 seconds: Only for LiFePO4: Battery temperature below 0°C, the charging current may be reduced in all charging modes to protect the battery, therefore longer charging time for a discharged battery.
Flashing: Battery protection: Battery overtemperature > 50°C (depending on type), switching to low safety charging voltage and half max. charging current, automatic return 2°C lower.
Batt. II (STARTER battery):

Lit: In operation, indicator for the starter battery.
Flashing: Starter battery has too low or too high voltage.
Flashes briefly every 2 seconds: In standby mode and when the onboard battery is charged externally (e.g., mains charger), the auxiliary charging branch for the starter battery is active to keep it ready for starting.
Power (Operation):

Lit: The device has been activated and is ready for operation.
Extinguishes briefly every 2 seconds: Power control has reduced output power by more than 30%.
Flashing: Internal device error (overheating or similar), automatic reset after cooling.
Off: Charge converter in standby.
Limit (Power limitation):

Lit: The device operates with reduced charging power.
Off: The device operates with full charging power.
Button:

Short press: Switches the remote control ON / OFF.
Long press (3 seconds): Changes Limit between reduced and full charging power.
