Victron VE.direct Interface Expansion 1 x USB to 4 x VE.direct

If the existing VE.direct connections on the Victron Color Control GX, Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX are not sufficient to connect all your VE.direct devices, this interface extension comes into play. Simply plugged into the USB port on the Victron GX device, it provides 4 additional VE.direct connections. VE.direct devices connected to it are displayed in the GX device, in the Victron Connect app, in the VRM Portal and on the GX Touch monitors as if they were connected directly to the GX device.

This way, for example, the number of VE.direct connections on the Cerbo GX can be easily increased from 3 to 7. If you want to connect several solar charge controllers, Smartshunt, or other Victron VE.direct devices to the communication hubs Cerbo, Ekrano or Color Control, you cannot do without this interface extension.

The USB-A to USB-C cable for connecting the USB-C port of the interface extension to the USB-A port on the Victron GX device is included in the scope of delivery of the interface extension, length 1 meter.

Important note:
The connection cables from the interface extension to the Victron VE.direct connection on the respective device are not included in the scope of delivery. It is not the standard Victron VE.direct connection cable, but has a special JST connector on one side. The correct connection cables can be found here: VE.direct-JST

Features:

• Each connection port is digitally isolated.
• The 4 connections can operate at different voltages and the ground is not common.
• Noise from the computer does not enter the target board, which can be useful when working with sensitive analog circuits.
• The voltage levels of TX and RX are the same as on the target board. This means it doesn't matter if your board works with 5V or 3.3V or 1.8V, the logic levels are always correct!
• The complete electronics are covered with a transparent heat shrink tubing.
  

Required accessories:
For the connection between the VE.direct connections on the Victron GX device and the JST sockets on the interface extension, up to 4 (depending on how many ports you want to occupy) VE.direct - JST cables are required. These can be found under the following link: VE.direct-JST
