Alb Filter Water Filter Kit "Fusion + Protect Built-in"

The Fusion + Protect Built-in water filter kit is permanently installed in your motorhome or boat and filters the water drawn from the water tanks with two filter stages and a pre-filter.

Fusion refers to the combination of the "Active" activated carbon filter element and the "Nano" hollow fiber membrane element. By using both effective methods, you can make safe, delicious drinking water from any dubious tap.

Water Filter Kit Fusion + Protect Built-in - Who is it suitable for?

Filtering AFTER the water tanks is generally recommended for larger water supplies, where the water remains in the tank for a certain period until it is completely used up and refilled. This applies to everyone who aims for a certain period of self-sufficiency. Since a water installation cannot be kept sterile and is not completely disinfected every week, post-contamination in the system is always a problem, even when filling with the best drinking water quality.

Another advantage is that your water tanks can also be filled without pressure. However, please note that your water installation's pump must be capable of building up a certain pressure to force the water through the filters. When using the full range of performance (activated carbon, germ barrier + pre-filter), this is a good 3 bar.

If the already installed pump cannot achieve this or if the installation space is not available, filtering AFTER the tank can be reduced to the germ barrier with the “Nano” filter cartridge - this only requires 2.1 bar pressure. To still filter heavy metals and other pollutants dissolved in the water, the activated carbon filter can be used during filling, utilizing the pressure of the water pipe. What can each filter actually do?

Activated carbon filter element “Active”

Activated carbon binds substances dissolved in water. These are chemical compounds from agriculture and industry, hundreds of which are contained in water, but also large parts of heavy metals, chlorine and drug residues.

Hollow fiber membrane filter cartridge “Nano”

The Nano filter element consists of a hollow fiber membrane made from the bioplastic lignin. With a filter size of 0.1 µm, bacteria, protozoa, and other pathogenic germs are reliably retained. For comparison: An E-coli bacterium has a size of 1.5 µm.

The hollow fiber membrane still allows a good flow rate so that the water pressure in your recreational vehicle or boat is still sufficiently high despite filtration.

How long do the water filter cartridges last on the go?

Please note our information for a better assessment of the actually possible filter performance in the online magazine! Values achieved on journeys can (sometimes strongly) deviate from manufacturer specifications and can vary between a few hundred and several thousand liters.

Pre-filter "Protect"

The set is supplemented with the Protect pre-filter. It retains larger particles and impurities. This protects the subsequent filter cartridges from premature clogging and extends their service life.
