Alb Filter Special tiger-Set EXPEDITION

Traveling to distant countries and aiming for maximum self-sufficiency brings its own little challenges that need to be considered in advance. One of these is solved by the Special tiger-Set EXPEDITION, which consists of components from the quality manufacturer Alb Filter.

Especially with large fresh water supplies, hygiene is particularly important to avoid endangering health. Bacteria and other pathogens introduced into the system can multiply excellently during long periods of standing and often also at high temperatures. At the same time, during long journeys, it is not always possible to clean and disinfect water tanks. One also doesn't want to take tablets or powders for water disinfection daily as a standard.

High-quality water filtration offers the perfect solution to this problem. Bacteria and chemical toxins dissolved in the water, such as pesticides or drug residues, are reliably removed. In addition, odors and flavors are bound, and the water gains a clear, fresh taste. Essential minerals are retained in the drinking water. Filtration works without any additives.

Filling and Extraction Filter

With the Expedition system, the water is completely purified during filling using both filter stages (Activated Carbon Filter Cartridge Active + Germ Filter Nano and pre-filter). With a clean tank and pipes as the initial situation, there is hardly any basis for rapid, strong proliferation of germs and so-called "film" on the system walls.

To eliminate the risk even over a longer period, the water undergoes a second filtration after the tank (ideally directly under the drinking water tap). Germs that have otherwise entered the tank, or if the tanks should have been contaminated with unfiltered water at some point (possibly due to lack of water pressure combined with a broken pump during filling), are neutralized by the second filtration.

Pre-filter for longer lifespan

The set includes a pre-filter on the filling side. It protects the subsequent filter cartridges from premature clogging.

System Pressure and Flow Rate

Please note that filtering water always requires a certain amount of pressure and affects the flow rate. You can find a graphic for this in the product photos! The specially bundled hollow fiber membrane from Alb Filter still enables enormously good values with the finest filtration.

Connections

To enable quick and clean installation and removal of the filter on the installation side after the tank, the set contains GEKA quick couplings with integrated backflow stop and stepped nozzle. For installation, the nozzles of the quick couplings are simply secured to your water hose (10 - 13 mm) using a clamp. The GEKA couplings and connectors are 100% Gardena compatible and DVWG certified.

For the filling side, there are also Gardena-compatible hose quick couplings from GEKA made of high-quality brass.
