Backbone Rack Sprinter (2018+)

The Backbone Rack Sprinter maximizes the rear left area of your van. Effortlessly transport spare wheels, boxes, and other accessories.

The Backbone carrier offers a versatile solution if you want to use the rear left side of your Sprinter for storage, transport your spare wheel, or combine both.

The Tire Carrier Module allows for the secure mounting of your spare wheel without spacers. The wheel is secured with three wheel studs, ensuring a stable and safe attachment. The module is adjustable both horizontally and vertically and can be mounted at the top or bottom of the carrier as desired.

A robust new box with a drawer will be available shortly. This box offers removable external storage, allowing you to keep your gear organized and easily accessible.

In combination with a Cargo Ladder, the Backbone carrier enables optimal use of the storage options at the rear of your vehicle. You can transport your spare wheel, store boxes, or mount other accessories, creating a fully organized and accessible setup. The carrier offers complete freedom to arrange your equipment exactly according to your needs and to utilize every centimeter of the rear.

Installation Requirements Backbone Carrier

270-degree doors: You must replace the 270-degree hinges with 180-degree hinges. The Cargo Ladder is attached to the hinges and mounted to the door.

180-degree doors: The Cargo Ladder is attached to the hinges and mounted to the door. You must drill two holes into the chassis to mount the Cargo Ladder on the Mercedes Sprinter W907/W910/W906. The ladder is attached to the sheet metal behind one of the mounting plates, resulting in an elegant design.
