Diesel Heater Boat Installation Kit with Autoterm Air 2D (Planar 2D)

Individually configurable installation kit for Autoterm Air diesel air parking heaters in camper vans. Autoterm heaters, formerly known as Planar 2D and Planar 44D, have proven themselves in recreational vehicles for many years. Although the devices now have a new name, the robust and reliable technology has remained.

The other advantages of the air parking heaters, now called Autoterm Air, also remain: If the installation instructions and guidelines are followed, they can even be installed in the camper van by yourself without voiding the warranty.

All Autoterm heaters are demonstrably safety-tested through the awarding of the E-mark (e2) and can therefore be installed without registration.

What makes this heater special?

There is no special Autoterm camper van heater. The heater itself is 100% identical to the models that are also installed in other vehicles.

So-called installation kits are repeatedly offered in stores. However, these are not special heaters, but rather compilations of various components.

What advantage does our installation kit offer?

Since every camper van is different, we consciously decided against a rigid kit a long time ago. There is more than one sensible way to route through the vehicle, more than one way to mount the heater, and many different requirements for air routing, exhaust routing, and fuel supply.

A fixed kit therefore only makes sense if one ignores this diversity and simply provides some selection of components. That does not match our standards. Therefore, we have chosen a different solution.

Individually configurable for camper van installation

Our shop is designed so that the relevant components are freely configurable. This individual configuration allows for a suitable solution to be selected for many different installation situations.

This way, you don't just get a blanket package, but an installation kit that is tailored to your specific installation situation.

Autoterm heaters for camper vans

The heater installation kit for the camper van includes an Autoterm brand diesel air parking heater.

Heaters with just under 2 kW heating power (Autoterm Air 2D) or with 4 kW heating power (Autoterm Air 4D) are available.

Basically, the heater should be selected to match the volume of the space to be heated – not simply as large as possible. A heater that runs permanently too low can lead to sooting of the combustion chamber. Occasional burning out at the highest power level is therefore advisable in any case and supports a long service life of the heater.

Both the 2 kW and the 4 kW heaters are available for 12 V or 24 V on-board power supply. Please select the power and supply voltage suitable for your vehicle when ordering.

E-mark and self-installation

Autoterm heaters may also be installed by the vehicle owner himself without voiding the warranty. Of course, the manufacturer's instructions for installation must be observed.

The heaters are also provided with an E-mark (e2). This means that their installation does not require any special registration or approval.

Automatic altitude adjustment

Autoterm diesel air parking heaters have an altitude kit that automatically adjusts the fuel supply to changing air pressure conditions.

This means that nothing stands in the way of a camper van tour on Lake Titicaca at around 3800 m above sea level.

Remote control

The heater's wiring harness has an emergency switch input, which is often used to operate a separate remote control.

The heater can then be regulated or switched on and off via continuous contact or pulse signal.
