Compatibility

Certificates & Vehicle Documents – What you need to know

The type approval numbers listed in the certificate usually refer to the base vehicle (e.g., VW Transporter, Mercedes Sprinter, MAN TGE, Fiat Ducato). Camper versions are often included in the certificate, but the lists are usually not exhaustive.
For converted campers or motorhomes, a different type approval number may therefore be entered. In these cases, the certificate generally still applies, as the chassis is identical. Should there still be discrepancies, you can have an individual inspection carried out – experience shows this is uncomplicated.
