Expert Opinion & Vehicle Documents – what you need to know

The type approval numbers listed in the expert opinion usually refer to the base vehicle (e.g., VW Transporter, Mercedes Sprinter, MAN TGE, Fiat Ducato). Camper variants are often also included in the expert opinion, but the lists are usually not complete.
For converted campers or motorhomes, a different type approval number may therefore be registered. In these cases, the expert opinion usually still applies, as the chassis is identical. Should there still be discrepancies, you can have an individual inspection carried out – experience shows this is uncomplicated.
