Expert Opinions & Vehicle Documents – What you need to know

The type approval numbers listed in the expert opinion usually refer to the base vehicle (e.g., VW Transporter, Mercedes Sprinter, MAN TGE, Fiat Ducato). Camper variants are often also included in the expert opinion, but the lists are usually not complete.
For converted campers or motorhomes, a deviating type approval number may therefore be registered. In these cases, the expert opinion generally still applies, as the chassis is identical. Should there still be discrepancies, you can have an individual approval carried out – experience shows that this is straightforward.
