The Victron (ORI121222120) Orion-Tr Smart 18A DC-DC charging booster is a professional, DC to DC adaptive 3-stage charger with galvanic isolation and integrated Bluetooth function. The B2B charging booster is optimally suited for both lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries. An unlimited number of these devices can be connected in parallel to increase the output power and thus accelerate battery charging.

For use in dual battery systems in vehicles, motorhomes or boats, where the alternator and starter battery are used to charge the auxiliary battery. Especially in vehicles with intelligent alternators or voltage drops due to long cable runs, controlled charging is essential to fully charge the service battery and protect the starter/input battery from discharge.

The DC-DC converter can also be used as a constant voltage power supply to directly supply sensitive 12V consumers with a stable voltage. In fixed output mode, the output voltage remains stable regardless of the applied load or varying input voltages (within the specified range). The desired output voltage can be easily set via the app.

The unit can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and can optionally be remotely controlled via a remote on/off switch.
