Benefits of the side running boards (double sliding door) for your campervan

The running boards make it easier to enter your Mercedes Sprinter, especially when it is equipped for off-road adventures. They improve accessibility and protect the sides of the vehicle from damage caused by stones and branches.

Suitable for L2, L3, and L4 wheelbases. The running boards remain within the vehicle's exterior dimensions and do not extend beyond the mirrors. The overhang position is adjustable, allowing the boards to be mounted closer to or further away from the vehicle.

The side boards are mounted using sturdy steel brackets. Large brackets are placed under the front door and the sliding door and are attached to the frame as well as the sill. Smaller brackets are mounted only on the sill, leaving enough space under the vehicle for water tanks or other equipment.

The overhang position can be adjusted by 20 mm per side to customize the visual fit. Large openings in the running boards allow mud and snow to pass through, ensuring a secure grip on uneven terrain. The design minimizes the loss of ground clearance and maximizes off-road capability.

The set includes two double running boards for the front and sliding doors, with the tube running from the front door to the rear wheel arch. The running board on the sliding door side is slightly smaller to allow more freedom of movement in tight corners.

Installation requirements for side running boards (double sliding door)

Rivet nuts are required for installation.

Compatibility

The side running boards are compatible with 4x4, AWD, and RWD (rear-wheel drive) Sprinter models.

Not suitable for FWD (front-wheel drive).

For 2WD models (RWD), a 50 mm lift is recommended to ensure optimal fit and performance. If your vehicle has an OEM heater on the driver's side, the running boards will still fit, although minor adjustments to the heater outlet may be necessary.
