Benefits of the Sequoia side ladder for your camper

A side ladder for your Mercedes Sprinter offers easy and stable access to the roof (or roof rack), making it ideal for loading equipment such as canoes or SUPs, especially if the rear cargo ladder is already fully loaded with other gear.

To keep shipping costs affordable, the 240 cm side ladder is designed to be split into two 120 cm pieces.

The rungs are comfortable to climb, with a pattern of holes that provides extra grip. The rungs protrude further than the side rails, reducing the risk of your feet hitting the vehicle. Additionally, the tubes are mounted closer to the vehicle than the steps, minimizing the overall dimensions of the side ladder.

The distance between the side ladder and the vehicle is approximately 10 cm at the top and bottom and about 12 cm in the middle. The lower part is inclined inwards to provide better ground clearance, and the entire ladder remains within the vehicle's exterior mirrors.

Installation requirements

Standard adapters for attaching the side ladder to Sequoia Basecamp and Camp 2 roof racks are included. The upper mounting points are universal, allowing for installation on other roof racks or with a custom bracket directly on the roof rails.

Please note, the ladder is not compatible with the Camp 2 roof rack for pop-top roofs. Due to the pop-top roof, the upper attachment point is further outwards, making the ladder too long.

The side ladder is suitable for Mercedes Sprinter W906, W907, and W910 models with an H2 (high roof) and fits L2, L3, and L4 wheelbases (more on different lengths here). By default, the ladder cannot be mounted behind the wheel arch.

In general, the side ladder works with most sills.

The side ladder can be mounted on a factory Sprinter camper; however, many factory models have a toilet hatch on the side of the vehicle. If you don't use the toilet, you can mount the ladder, but if you ever need to empty it, the ladder will block access to this hatch.

The side ladder can be mounted together with the Sequoia Side Steps Sprinter L2 and L3 using the Sequoia Side Steps Sprinter Side Ladder Adapter.
