Car Battery Disconnect Switch

A vehicle battery isolator switch, also known as a battery disconnect switch or battery cut-off switch, is an electrical component used in vehicles to interrupt the connection between the battery and the vehicle's electrical system.

The isolator switch is typically installed between the negative terminal of the battery and the vehicle's ground point. Operating the switch breaks the electrical connection to the battery, thereby stopping the flow of current to the electrical components and consumers in the vehicle. This can protect the battery from discharge if the vehicle is not used for a longer period or is undergoing repairs.
