Anyone who has a bike rack with bikes hanging from the tailgate knows the problem: the standard gas springs sometimes only just cope with the additional load. That's exactly what BikeBrackets are for.

The two vehicle-specific brackets are clipped by hand onto the exposed piston rods of both suitable gas springs when the manually operated tailgate is fully open, and pushed as far as they will go on the cylinder tube. No tools, no conversion, no witchcraft.

Important: always as a pair

BikeBrackets are used exclusively as a complete pair. Both gas springs must be identical, have the same nominal force and be suitable for the respective vehicle.

Select your vehicle variant directly on the product. You will always receive 2 identical BikeBrackets.

Safe use

• Maximum total additional load: 35 kg including bike rack, bicycles, accessories and permanent tailgate attachments compared to the standard condition.
• Only use on fully open, manually operated tailgates.
• Not for electric or automatic tailgates.
• Only use as a complete pair.
• BikeBrackets are not a lock or a fall protection device. Unexpected lowering or closing cannot be completely ruled out.
• Do not carry out any work under the tailgate.
• Do not move, push, lift or lower the tailgate with inserted BikeBrackets.
• Remove BikeBrackets from the support position before closing the tailgate and before starting the journey.
• Do not use in strong winds, gusts or dynamic influences.
• Only use within the permissible component temperature range of 0 °C to 35 °C.
• Do not use damaged, worn, leaky, rusty, sticking or unevenly working gas springs.
