TWIN-Kit 12V Dual Auxiliary Heater System

The TWIN-Kit is primarily designed for vehicles with a living space of 16 cubic meters or more. It allows for perfect indoor temperature control, whether it's a mild 10 degrees Celsius above freezing or a frigid 35 degrees Celsius below. It is therefore ideal if you want to travel through all climate zones and avoid both under- and overheating.

Furthermore, it offers the huge advantage of redundancy.

Better temperature control with the TWIN-Kit

Why buy two small heaters when you could simply buy one large one with double the heating power for only a little more money?

There are several good reasons for this:

4 kW heating power – often simply too much

For small, as well as well-insulated vehicles, 4 kW of heating power is simply too much. You constantly fluctuate between too cold and too hot.

For small, well-insulated vehicles or destinations that promise pleasantly mild temperatures, 4 kW of heating power is simply too much. Even on the lowest setting, the interior of your RV turns into a sauna, and to bear it, you have to open a window. This is not only a tremendous waste but also not particularly comfortable. You constantly fluctuate between too cold when the heater is off and too hot as soon as the heater is on.

However, if you consider wanting to travel into a real winter, then the power of a 4 kW heater would certainly not be bad. But just because you want to see snow once every 5 years, the heater is simply completely oversized for the rest of the time.

Soot formation

Oversized also means your heater is more likely to soot up. Continuous operation at the lowest setting leads to sooting and increased maintenance.

The TWIN-Kit as the perfect solution

The TWIN-Kit strikes the perfect balance between too much and too little heating power. One heater runs daily, the second is added when needed.

This allows the heaters to operate within their optimal range – efficiently, durably, and cleanly.

Advantage number 2: Redundancy

If one heater fails, the second remains active. This is an enormous safety gain, especially when traveling.

What else you need

The ducting system for hot air distribution cannot, of course, be included in a finished kit. Every vehicle is different. You can plan the ducting like a normal 90 mm system. The corresponding components can be found in the 90mm System shop category. 

Tip for hot air distribution

When distributing hot air, strategically include not only the outlet side of the heater but also the intake side.

If you can still plan the interior construction accordingly, build the furniture, for example, so that the intake air flows behind the furniture line – this can prevent condensation and thus mold in these sensitive areas.
