99% Camper Kit - Complete Heater Kit with 2kW Output (Straight Version)

The heating kit for 99% of all campers.

Everything you need in one set:

This kit is called that because it fits 99% of all "normal" campers perfectly. It contains everything you need to complete the parking heater installation - including furniture vents, control panel, warm air hose, etc.

The kit with 2kW heater also works for larger RVs up to approx. 16 cubic meters of heated volume (volume without furniture!). The heater is best used in continuous operation. It is not switched off, but simply runs continuously at a low power level. The reasoning behind this is simply that it takes significantly less energy to keep a room at the right temperature than to try to heat up an ice-cold interior within 30 minutes.

We naturally assume that the vehicle has been properly insulated and that - due to the large, uninsulated windows - the cold cab is at least separated with a blanket in winter.

Don't worry: the heater is designed for continuous operation and has no problem with it. In principle, you can switch on the heater when you set off and switch it off again when you come home in 4 weeks. The power consumption at the lowest setting is 10 watts, which is less than the parking light of your van.

The heating output of the 99% kit may not be sufficient,

• if you are a winter fan and often drive to extreme cold regions with a large vehicle.
• Your vehicle is poorly insulated, but you still don't only go on summer holidays.
• You need to heat more than 16 cubic meters of room volume.

Choose the shape of the outlet:

The heater is available with two different warm air outlets for different space conditions and installation situations, which you can select above.

Straight outlet:
Please note that the warm air must be routed as straight as possible away from the heater. The warm air pipe should ideally only make slight bends and must not make a 90° angle or similar curves directly behind the heater. Otherwise, heat will build up in the heater, causing it to switch off for safety reasons.

90° angle:
Here, the warm air is routed out of the heater at a specially flow-optimized 90° angle. The outlet can be installed upwards or sideways. Especially when installing this version, it is important to realize a straight pipe from the heater outlet. The maximum pipe length must not exceed 3-4m .

Important: Even if the heating devices are completely identical: If you use warm air pipe with the straight version to create an angled outlet like with the space-saving housing, your heater will overheat. Therefore, please plan your installation regarding the routing of the warm air pipe before ordering, so that you know directly whether the straight or the angled outlet is better suited for your conversion!

Altitude kit

The heater is equipped with an altitude kit, which means it automatically adjusts to and functions in the altered air pressure conditions at high altitudes. However, this does not mean it cannot soot! If you leave high altitudes, operate your heater at full power for an hour so that deposits can burn off.

Burning off is also necessary if you operate the heater only at the lowest setting for a long time . At least every 1-2 weeks, turn it up to full power so that the combustion chamber gets really hot again. This is the most important and at the same time only maintenance measure for the heater.

Mounting flange

A stainless steel mounting flange, which makes mounting the heater easy and is thermally decoupled, is also included in the kit.

Cutting a rectangular hole (9 cm x 13 cm) in the vehicle floor is sufficient to mount the heater flush and thermally decoupled. The tigerexped mounting flange can then be glued or screwed on (please use a PUR sealant, not silicone).

The size of the flange can be selected: For floors up to 48 mm (sufficient for most vans) or for 83 mm floor thickness (usually for cabins or high insulation and floor panels). The flange should be chosen at least 5 mm longer than the floor is thick (for the sealing joint).

Fuel supply

2 different T-pieces (8 x 8 x 5.3 mm and 5.3 x 5.3 x 5.3 mm) are also included. For example, if an auxiliary heater is present and fuel extraction via a T-piece is easily possible. We strongly recommend interfering with the vehicle's fuel system only if you know it well enough and can be sure that both the vehicle and the heater will function with it.
Otherwise, the heating kit also contains a diesel extraction pipe for the vehicle's diesel tank, so you can draw fuel directly from the tank.

Attention fuel hose:

The scope of delivery includes fuel hose as a line connector. The included length is usually completely sufficient (pieces may need to be shortened/divided). Should you unexpectedly not manage with it, you can reorder the hose under item number 35612 by the meter.

Warm air pipe

The set also includes 3 meters of 60 mm warm air pipe. In 99% of cases, this is a well-dimensioned requirement.

Warm air outlets / distribution

A suitable Y-piece and 2 rotatable outlets, 60 mm, are also included in the set, which you can place in the furniture or walls as desired.
