High Efficiency
With an efficiency of up to 93%, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard. Furthermore, once the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to less than 0.5 Watts, which is about five to ten times better than the industry standard.

Three Charging Outputs
Up to three independent batteries/battery banks can be charged simultaneously. Of course, only one output can also be used; all outputs are absolutely equal.

Three Selectable Charging Programs (Normal, High, Lithium)
There are 3 charging programs available for selecting the correct charging voltage for the respective battery type. Please check the charging voltage specifications for your battery or inquire with the battery manufacturer, and then set the corresponding charging program on the charger.

Adaptive 6-stage charging algorithm: Test - Bulk - Absorption - Recondition - Float - Storage
The Blue Power charger is characterized by its microprocessor-controlled, adaptive battery management. Adaptive means that the charging process is automatically adjusted to the type of battery use.

Storage Mode: Less maintenance and aging when the battery is idle:
Storage mode is activated whenever no discharge has occurred within 24 hours. The float charge voltage is then reduced to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gassing and thus prevent corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is increased to the gassing voltage level. This achieves a type of equalization charge, preventing electrolyte stratification and sulfation – the two main reasons for premature battery failure.

Also charges Lithium-Ion (LiFePO₄) batteries
LiFePO₄ batteries are charged with a simple constant current phase – constant voltage phase – float charge phase algorithm.

The NIGHT and LOW settings
If the device is in NIGHT or LOW mode, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 50% of the rated output, and the charger operates absolutely silently. NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. LOW mode can be manually ended. This allows battery charging at night without annoying fan noise.

Temperature compensated charging
The optimal charging voltage of a lead-acid battery varies inversely with temperature. The Blue Power IP22 charger measures the ambient temperature during the test phase and performs temperature compensation during the charging process. The temperature is measured again when the charger is in low current mode, float charge phase or storage mode. Therefore, no special settings are required for cold or hot environments.

The MODE button
After the charger has been connected to AC power, you can use the MODE button to select a different charging algorithm if necessary (the charger remembers the last mode when disconnected from mains and/or battery). It is not necessary to press any button to start charging. As soon as shore power is supplied to the charger, the charger starts fully automatically with the saved setting and charges the connected batteries.

Setup, monitoring, and configuration of the Blue Smart charger via your smartphone. With the VictronConnect app, you can view the status of your charger and battery, and even control your charger's functions. By default, voltage and current are displayed on the screen.

VE.Smart Networking is a wireless device-to-device (D2D) communication network between Victron products via Bluetooth Smart.

Overheat protection
The output current is reduced if the temperature rises to 50°C, but the Blue Power charger will not fail.
