Multifunctional with intelligent energy management
The MultiPlus is a powerful true sine wave inverter, a sophisticated battery charger that uses adaptive charging technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch (grid priority circuit) in a single compact housing. It can be used in single operation as well as in parallel connection to increase power, and in 3-phase operation (3 devices required).

Device properties / Features:

Two AC outputs

The main output ensures uninterrupted operation. In the event of a power outage or an interruption of shore/generator power, the MultiPlus takes over the supply to the connected loads. The transfer happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.

The second output only supplies power when AC is available at one of the MultiPlus's inputs. Loads that should not discharge the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output (a second output is available on models with a nominal power of 3 kVA and above).

PowerControl – Working with limited generator power, limited shore or grid power
The MultiPlus has a very powerful battery charger integrated. Therefore, it draws a high current from the generator or shore power supply (almost 10A per 5kVA Multi at 230 VAC). With the (optional) Multi Control remote panel, the maximum grid or generator current that can be drawn can be easily set with a rotary knob. The MultiPlus then takes into account other connected AC loads and only uses the remaining current for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection (e.g., the power connection at the pitch or boat dock) from being overloaded.

PowerAssist – Boosting generators and shore power support
This function gives the PowerControl principle a new dimension. It allows the MultiPlus to support undersized alternative sources. Peak loads often occur only for a limited period. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore power or generator power is immediately compensated by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e., consumers are switched off, the then sufficiently available energy can be used to charge the batteries.

Remote control: Digital Multi Control (optionally available)
A practical and cost-effective solution for remote monitoring with a rotary knob to set the Power Control and Power Assist levels (max. current draw from the shore power grid).

Four-stage adaptive charger and charging a second battery
The main output provides powerful charging of the battery system using advanced adaptive charging software. The software fine-tunes the automatic, three-stage charging process to best adapt it to the battery condition. It also adds a fourth stage for long periods in float mode. The adaptive charging process is described in more detail in the user manual. In addition, the MultiPlus also charges a second battery, as it has an independent trickle charge output (with reduced power) that can be used for the vehicle starter battery or a generator starter battery. (Trickle charge output for second battery only available on 12V and 24V models).

Uninterrupted AC (UPS function)
In the event of a mains failure or an interruption of shore power or the on-board generator, the Multi's inverter is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads. The transfer happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.

Virtually unlimited power through parallel connection
Up to six Multis of the same model can be connected in parallel for high power requirements. Thus, the system can grow with its demands.

Three-phase operation
In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can also be configured for a three-phase output. But that's not all: up to six sets of three units can be connected in parallel to achieve large three-phase inverter powers and high charging currents.

System configuration easier than ever
After installation, the MultiPlus is generally ready for operation.
- If settings need to be changed on a single device, this can be done within a few minutes using a DIP switch setting procedure.
- Parallel-connected and three-phase systems can be configured with the VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator software.
- Off-grid, grid-tied and self-consumption systems that use grid-tie inverters and/or MPPT solar chargers can be configured using assistants (associated software for the respective systems).

Local monitoring and control:
Several options are available: battery monitor, Multi Control Panel, Color Control GX and other GX devices, smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).

Remote monitoring and control:
Color Control GX and other GX devices. The data can be stored and viewed free of charge on our VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.

Remote configuration: If systems with a Color Control GX and other GX devices are connected to Ethernet, they can be accessed and settings can be changed remotely.
