Multifunctional with intelligent energy management
The MultiPlus is a powerful true sine wave inverter, a sophisticated battery charger that uses adaptive charging technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single compact enclosure. In addition, it can be used for stand-alone operation, parallel connection to increase power, or for 3-phase operation (3 units required).

Device features:

Two AC outputs
The main output ensures uninterruptible operation. In the event of a grid failure or if shore/generator power is disconnected, the MultiPlus takes over the supply to the connected loads. The switching occurs so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic devices continue to operate without disruption.
The second output only provides power when AC is available at one of the inputs of the MultiPlus. Loads that should not discharge the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output (a second output is available on models with a rated power of 3 kVA and more).
PowerControl – Dealing with limited generator power, limited shore or grid power
The MultiPlus features a very powerful battery charger. It therefore draws a significant amount of current from the generator or shore power supply (almost 10 A per 5 kVA Multi at 230 VAC). With the (optional) Multi Control remote panel, the maximum grid or generator current to be drawn can be set simply by a rotary knob. The MultiPlus then takes into account other connected AC loads and uses only the remaining current for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection (e.g., the power connection at a parking space or boat pier) from being overloaded.
PowerAssist – Increasing the capacity of generators and shore power support
This function gives the PowerControl principle a new dimension. It allows the MultiPlus to support undersized alternative sources. Load peaks often occur only for a limited period. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore or generator power is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e., consumers are switched off, the energy that is then sufficiently available again can be used to charge the batteries.
Remote control: Digital Multi Control (optionally available)
A practical and cost-effective solution for remote monitoring with a rotary knob to set the Power Control and Power Assist levels (maximum current draw from the shore power grid).

Four-stage adaptive charger and charging an additional battery
The main output provides powerful charging for the battery system with the aid of advanced adaptive charging software. The software fine-tunes the automatic three-stage charging process to best suit the condition of the battery. Furthermore, it adds a fourth stage for long periods of float charging. The adaptive charging process is described in more detail in the user manual. Aside from that, the MultiPlus also charges a second battery, as it has an independent trickle charge output (with reduced power) that can be used for the vehicle starter battery or a generator starter battery. (Trickle charge output for second battery only available on 12V and 24V models).

Uninterruptible AC power (UPS function)
In the event of a grid failure or an interruption in shore power or the onboard generator, the inverter of the Multi is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads. The switching occurs so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic devices continue to operate without disruption.

Virtually unlimited power through parallel operation
Up to six Multis of the same model can be connected in parallel for high power demand. The system can thus grow with your requirements.

Three-phase operation
In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can be configured for a three-phase output. But that's not all: up to six sets of three units can be connected in parallel to achieve high three-phase inverter power and high charging currents.

System configuration has never been easier
After installation, the MultiPlus is generally ready for operation.
- If settings need to be changed on a single unit, this can be done within minutes using a DIP switch setting procedure.
- Parallel and three-phase systems can be configured using the VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator software.
- Off-grid, grid-tied, and self-consumption systems, in which grid-tie inverters and/or MPPT solar chargers are used, can be configured using assistants (software associated with the respective systems).
