The canister is not certified for use as a drinking water tank and is therefore not intended for storing drinking water. However, the material of the canister has been TÜV-tested and complies with the requirements of the EU Commission for plastics suitable for contact with foodstuffs (this does not apply to the screw cap and seal). For hygienic use, we recommend rinsing the canister thoroughly before first use.
